Tagging is just what it sounds like! this would be a very useful tool for library customers who use multiple computers! I can see how delicious will be personally useful or a useful tool.

YouTube is so addictive. whether it is watching the turkey stuffing cone behind Governor Palin, Rob snowboarding, or locally produced movies, I really enjoy it. I like watching movies the library teens have filmed.
Does anyone out there remember Rocky and Bullwinkle? Very interesting but STUPID!!

Image generator--a great source for fun gifts!!!

I have spent a long time trying to upload an image: from flickr and from the shared photo folder on my pc. No luck.
One of my favorite Web 2.0 stories is helping one of our more challenging customers set up a blog. Now ever time she comes in I ask her how her blog is going!

Now I'm streaming the Smithsonian recording "Two Marimbas Playing In Front of A Church"-music from Guatemala. This adds a little class to my work day!
I'm streaming music from Guatemala on my pc right now. I'm looking for some marimba music!

I just chatted up a storm with Christa and learned a few other things -- like what is a headbanger? Thanks, Christa!

Fisrt Timer

Wow--I just set up a gmail account and a blog! I have to admit I was not really looking forward to this experience but so far it has been easy and even fun. I can use this to help customers and to communicate. My son writes a Reader Blog on the Seattle P-I website which I love to read. His style is a cross between a nagging mother and Hunter S. Thompson. When I figure out how to link to it, I'll do that to promote it!

I live in Kirkland and there is no good news source any more that covers Kirkland, believe it or not. We used to have a pretty good monthly community newspaper. It was bought by another company and now is pretty much a rag for local realtors and developers. If you want to read ads for McMansions, fine.

I subscribe to the P-I at home (of course) and they don't cover Eastside news much. Maybe the Times does a better job. The Eastside Journal went out of business over a year ago.

My point is that I have thought about starting a blog for my neighborhood. There is a neighborhood association which doesn't communicate much about neighborhood issues other than at bi-monthly meetings which aren't very well-attended.

Let's see if I do it.

Just some personal musings on how I might blog!
